Material recycling combined with climate-neutral greenhouse gas and raw material production
The energy-efficient decomposition of different hydrocarbons produces a gas phase consisting of a high proportion of hydrogen and technologically valuable carbon material as a solid. No additional CO2 is produced in the process, so this recycling process contributes to decarbonization overall. The hydrocarbon feedstock is split into its hydrocarbon and carbon components by a fast and therefore energy-efficient catalyst-based plasma chemical process. The process is adapted to the use of electricity from renewable energy sources, especially from their surplus production.
